I recently lost my hair as a result of Chemotherapy treatment. I searched for human hair online and looked to buy in bulk in order to have hair pieces custom made. I came across Abdoulet Ltd, who claimed they had been trading for over 20 years. I called the telephone number provided 01202 280 2929. I noticed that the registered address was based in London, even though not a London telephone number.
I spoke with a lady who said she was named Petulia. She seemed quite knowledgeable about the hair and appeared quite helpful.
An order worth £1000 was placed with Abdoulet Ltd.
I was offered payment options and was told my hair would arrive within 5 working days if I paid into Abdoulet's Bank Account directly.
I paid £1,000 into Abdoulet's Bank Account on Dec 10 2012. By Dec 17, I had not received the goods and telephoned Petulia. I left numerous messages, and Petulia returned my call and then pretended she was on a second telephone call with the delivery agents.
I was sent an email the following morning apologising and stating that the hair would be with me between 8 and 10 am on the morning of Dec 18, 2012.
I waited all day and did not receive anything. I emailed numerous times to say the delivery had not arrived. I also telephoned, and all of a sudden calls were not being picked up from any of the telephone numbers on the website.
I have the following numbers - 012022892928, 01202960171, 07539951919, 07505779483. I have called them all numerous times and there is no response and no facility to leave a message.
The Abdoulet Ltd website is still live. I have sent 2 different letters to the registered address in London, but have received no response.
I have reported the matter to ActionFraud. I have also informed Companies House about the dishonest practices of the Director - Petulia Adams, aka Petulia Delaney and Michele Adams/Michelle Delaney. I only found out the Director of the Company, Petulia Adams Delaney is also the lady I had been speaking with on the telephone.
Petulia Adams/Petulia Delaney/Michelle Adams/Michelle Delaney swindled me out of £1,000.
