i answered an ad on craigslist for a receptionist position and this man answered back with this email

Dear Applicant,

How are you doing today? Thanks for the e-mail and the interest in taking up the position advertised on Craigslist. I'm a sculptor by profession. I have clients spread all over The States and in different parts of Europe. I would have loved to meet with you to talk about this job but I am currently away on a business trip. I return to the States in less than two months, so I won't be able to conduct a face to face interview now. Please note that this position is not office based for now because of my frequent travels and tight schedules, it's on a part-time, work from home basis allowing lots of flexibility for you.

I am looking to employ an assistant who would be required to do some errands and minor book-keeping. I'll have my mail diverted to a local post office box to you. I'll require you to visit the post box two to three times in a week as some would need immediate attention and some would be payments from clients which you would be required to process on my behalf. I would prefer any mail containing payments from my clients delivered to your front door.

I'll give you instructions on what to do with the mails as they come through. All expenses and taxes will be covered by me. You will work between 10 and 15 hrs a week. I intend to pay you $400 weekly. I need your service because I am frequently out of town as I have projects I am supervising currently in the United Kingdom. I'll certainly meet up with you when I return and then we can talk about the possibility of making this long term. Let me know if you are able to handle the position.

In cases where you have to do some shopping for me, I'll email you the list of what to shop for and specific stores in your area if necessary, no heavy duty things though.

So began our working relationship. I received a my first check 9 days later. The check looked very real, had the watermarks it was typed the bank was even real. The check was even sent by Fed Ex, so I truly believed the job was real. I deposited the check it cleared the normal 24 hrs I received my instructions to send the balance of the money after my $400.00 pay was deducted to via western union a week later I received another check when i went to deposit this second check I was informed by the bank that my account was overdrawn the first check had INF. so we ( the bank and I )called on the second check and found it to be a fake
