DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT ORDERING ANY PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They are nothing but crooks and con artists.
This is going to be rather long, but I think it is important for all to see the sequence of events as they occurred.
I called in a for a "free" trial of the Lean Spa weight loss and cleanse in early/mid April 2011. After trying the products for the recommended time, I discovered that they were not effective and did not produce the results promised. I started trying to reach the company by phone and e-mail to cancel the program in mid May 2011. Whenever I called in, I was put on hold. Each time I was on hold for exactly 30 minutes , at which time I would hear a connection tone and then I was automatically disconnected. I also tried thier "automated" cancellation by phone; however, after following their prompts, no connection or menu was offered. I then tried to communicate using their web site, but was unable to perform any actions of any kind. Finally, on June 21, 2011, I sent a letter by USPS Certified Mail cancelling the program and requesting RMAs to return the products. Though they denied receiving this letter, it was signed for on June 20, 2011, which supports my contention that I met the requirement of the 30 day cancellation starting with the May 31st shipment.
After the May 31st shipment they sent more product on June 6 and 24, 2011. Of course, with each shipment they charged my checking account $159.98 ($79.99 x 2). Now I'm really concerned because they are shipping out product and billing me every 2 weeks rather than every 30 days as agreed. I believe this is called "slamming".
Since I was unable to reach the company, I contacted my bank to see what could be done. I was forced to "hot card" my checking account card to prevent Lean Spa's continued slamming. One of my bank's officers was able to reach the company, securing 2 RMAs for my product return. On July 21, 2011, I returned 9 bottles under the issued RMAs by USPS Signature Confirmation Receipt. Through USPS tracking, I was able to determine that the package was signed for on July 25, 2011. To date, they contend that they received neither package.
I was informed that the phone number and address on and in the packages is not Lean Spa, but a 3rd party fulfillment company. They deny any responsibility and referred me to Glen Arnell, a Lean Spa Manager. I was given his e-mail, [email protected]. I sent him a copy of all my correspondence and notes along with a comprehensive explanation of what transpired. Not surprisingly, his only comments were that ". . .where the bottles are shipped out of is not where the corporate headquarters are for Lean Spa and this company is its own ownership other than being hired to ship their product. They should have never accepted the letter in the name of Lean Spa...thanks."
Wow, what a surprise! No offer of a correct address or contact at Lean Spa and no suggestion of how to go forward.
I can assure you that I am not done with these people. I encourage all of you who have had similar experiences with this company not to give up the fight. We need to work together to put enough pressure on them to get our money back and try to put these people out of business.
