I ordered a "free trial" of HydraWhite on Jan.23rd. It didn't work as it stated it would so I cancelled my account with them on Jan.31st, 7 days after my order was made. (In the details, it was stated that to avoid additional charges, cancel within 10 days of ordering.) I received an email stating my account was closed with an 866 number if I had any questions. To verify, I called them and was told they had no record of my account being cancelled but that they would do that for me. I was sent a second email from the same email address as the previous email with an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number for the product still in my possession. Being suspicious, once I got off the phone with HydraWhite, I had my bank cancel the debit card I had used to place the original order to stop any further charges. However, moments after getting off the phone with a HydraWhite rep, a charge showed up in my checking account. (It is an account I don't often use so there wasn't much in the account to begin with.) They made the charge for the exact amount in that account. I called HydraWhite back requesting a refund for the fraudulent charge and was told my account was not eligible for a refund because the "trial period" had expired. What? I still have 2 days before that happens. Anyway, after putting up a fuss, I was told that not only would a supervisor contact me "sometime today" but that I would receive a "complimentary refund of $45 in the next 3 days" after being told I was not eligible for one. Suspicious, if you ask me! Not only that, but when I told them that I had cancelled the account originally used, they assured me that I would still get the refund. Again, I called my bank and was told that if the refund didn't come through as promised, we would begin a fraudulent charge investigation. Ugh! Really?? All this for a "free" trial of teeth whitening gel? Never again!!!
