I sent 177g silver of 925 quality to the British Gold Refinery on 4 Jan 2013.

I have had no contact from them since, despite my package being delivered and acknowledged as delivered to them.

I sent them an email on Friday 12 Jan to say if I had not heard from them by 5pm on 14 January that I would report the silver as stolen to the police.

I have since then, left a message via their online message system and left a voice message on their answering machine.

I have located their company details via Companies House and have given them until 2pm today to respond to my complaint.

However, I am not confident of hearing from then and will report them to Companies House and to the police if I have not heard by the end of the afternoon.

What I lost in monetary terms is not very much, but I am angry that this kind of scam continues to be perpetrated via the Internet and I don't want others to suffer in the same way.

I will never use an online gold refinery again.
