I contracted Neighbors Moving & Storage in an emergency to move me after another company failed to show. Was quoted $3206.20 (felt it was high for the move but was in duress), paid $947.80 deposit by credit card, understand bal at end (cash, cashiers check or money order). Red Globe Logistics were dispatched to me for the move, told former if weight became an issue let me know I would prioritize items on truck. Said no problem. After truck loaded and arrived at new address was quoted an addl $2,000 and possessions held hostage on truck until paid. Had to get cash from local bank. Foreman claims could not find move invoice, made him handwrite a receipt for the $4124 cash given. Contacted owner David Gold, he promised to investigate but no return calls or emails. Made numerous calls to him with no return contacts. I feel this and was a scam between Neighbors and Red Globe. I am senior citizen, fixed income and this hurt me financially. Still do not have an itemized receipt of final cost only the original quote via email from Neighbors and handwritten receipt. And I have damages to my flooring and furniture. After research found numerous complaints on these companies. They should be put out of business.
