My mother bought me a pair of UGG type boots from nomorerack.com the day after Thanksgiving. They guaranteed the boots would be here by Christmas, but did not arrive until Jan 5. They blamed it on a west coast port strike, and said they would refund the purchase price to my mother if the item was not received by DEC 21, which they never did.

When we received the boots, they came stuffed and folded over in a wet and beat up bag.

My mother ordered a size 8, the bag had "size 9" handwritten on it, and the hang tag on the boots said size 10. They are 2 sizes bigger than what was ordered.

The shoes were poor quality, with foam soles, dried glue showing, made in China stickers, lining that shed at the touch, sub par stitching, and a thin fake leather outside. The shoes were attached with a plastic hang tag so a retailer could hang them on a shelf. They did not come in a box.

The shoe brand was Easy USA brand. I looked them up, and found that Easy USA is owned by Cheng's Enterprise, Inc. I looked at the catalog on Cheng's website, and my UGG style boots were actually listed as SLIPPERS! That's right, my "Luxury" boots were actually crappy make in China slippers! What's worse is that No More Rack knew they were slippers and marketed them as "Luxury Australian Boots" anyway! The slippers can be viewed on Cheng's catalog at http://www.chengsusa.com/catalog.php?page=15 Item S5640-L.

Another thing I noticed, is that one of the pictures they have of these "boots" on their website is a fake. They show a picture of a folded down black boot with a plush lining. I can assure you that this is no where close the quality that these slippers really are. You can tell that the picture is not of the product sold because the soles are different, the heel has some sort of a brand logo on it (which mine don't have), and the lining is a plush material (which is not like the slippers). It is vile that they deliberately put up fake pictures to sell a product they are already lying about.

I am assisting my mother so she can get a refund. It's not really about the money; it's about a company profiting off of lies.

We have contacted her financial institution and are expecting a chargeback, since No More Rack has atrocious customer service and does not follow through on their generic replies to complaints. The sooner we are rid of this dishonest company, the better. Buyer Beware!

  • Well done. Their customer service is a part of their deliberate scam to misrepresent items and steal people's money. They clear their FB page of all complaints and leave up stuff like "wow, what great deals you have." They sell shoddy merchandise and blame it on their "vendors" when they should have quality control on every item they "sell" and allow their vendors to ship. It's total (Inappropriate Content Removed)and I'm right behind you.
