I had been searching for a cleaning lady and a neighbor recommended Yahaira Watson, who had been cleaning for her. I made an appointment with Yahaira and her husband, Jose Watson. They came over and we discussed what services they offered and I needed. Jose Watson did most of the talking. I wanted a thorough cleaning, due to flooding that had occurred in my condo and caused damage in my bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room and dining room. I had relocated most of my clothing from my bedroom closet to the laundry room (on top of the washer, dryer and ironing board). They charged me $150.00 for the job and days later Yahaira Watson and Patricia Martinez came and cleaned the condo. The next time I requested service, I contacted Yahaira and asked her to come clean my bedroom. It was then that she stole 10 1-oz. gold coins and gold nuggets,out of my dresser, silver and ivory jewelry,silver and turquoise jewelry and other jewelry items,an antique mother of pearl Ronson lighter. After conducting a thorough search of my property, I found numerous other objects missing. That included new towels, ceramic blue bird on a vine (from my deceased uncle), clothing, a teapot with diffuser, and other miscellaneous items.

When I contacted her husband to tell him what had happened, he said "she would not steal but that he would come over and talk with me". That never happened. I was reluctant to meet with her and her husband as I am a senior citizen and live alone. I told him that I just wanted my property returned. That never happened. I finally filed a police report on 8-5-10.

NOTE: Based on today's gold values, the coins are worth approximately $15,000.00
