I had hired a lady to clean my condo, following flooding of my unit. She and another lady had worked together previously to clean the unit. My unit was in disarray to make repairs to my kitchen, pantry, bedroom and bathroom. After the initial cleaning, I only needed one person and hired Yahaira. I contacted her again a week later to assist with cleaning my bedroom. After she left, I found that there were numerous items missing. She had stolen 10 1 ounce gold coins, silver and ivory(bone) ring, other antique jewelry, clothing, towels, teapot, clock, ceramic blue birds, and other miscellaneous items. I contacted her husband, who had met with me to arrange the initial arrangements and he said that he could not believe that she would do that and that he would come and talk to me. He never contacted me to resolve the matter. A year later, I reported the incident to the police. They said they could not do anything without "hard evidence". I have hired cleaning people for more than 40 years and had never had anyone to steal from me and was quite devastated by this incident. I am desperately desirous of the return of my property.
