I was contacted "out of the blue" and told by a woman (later a man) that my computer was badly infected and he worked with Microsoft and would help me clean up the computer. He later took control of the computer. I paid $279 with a credit card. On 12/4 I called the credit card company and cancelled my card. I hope this will end the matter. I was too trusting and should have hung up on them at the beginning.
