State Acquisition Corporation solicited me to sell my land for a closing cost fee of $1,242.00. An additional fee was requested which was paid. State Acquisition Corp represented that it had buyers interested in purchasing my land. To close the sales transaction, I was asked to pay the business fee of $1,242.00. Later I was asked to pay the business an additional amount of fees to continue with the closing. Since my check was cashed I have been unable to receive a call back from Mr. Ronald Carpenter. I have had no response from the corporate website. My file with them is: 8001835-L. The director is Peter Richmond in Belleair Bluffs, FL. I signed the agreement on 1/21/2012. On Feb. 24th I called and was provided with a scheduled closing date for March 13th to 14th. After no follow-up call, I called again on March 27, 2012 and given another closing date of April 24th to 27th. On May 1, 2012 I called and spoke with Daniel Donovan who stated that Peter Richmond was away and requested I call back in about 2 to 3 weeks if no one has called me. Sometime around July 15th I received a call from Ron Carpenter who indicated he was ready to get me paid the $16,400.00 to close the deal. He indicated I paid part of the closing cost in advance but needed to receive another payment of $726.00 to close the deal. I sent the check and he called me to let me know the check cleared accounting. Since then I have never received a return call, eventually his voice mail became full. I sent an email through the website at: www.stateacq.com. To date I have received no feedback.

I also filed a complaint with the Office of the State Attorney Generals Office. They forwarded my case to the Florida Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation Division of Real Estate. There response was that the persons(s) and/or entities complained against are not licensed with this agency. Furthermore, it appears that your complaint does not involve the unlicensed practice of the real estate brokerage business in Florida.

This agency is without jurisdiction to accept your complaint at this time. If your wish to pursue this matter, it is suggested that you consult with an attorney engaged in the private practice of law.
