I recieved an email from Meridian National Trust stating that I had been approved for $5,000. All I needed to do was send the first 8 payments equalling $790.00 as a security deposit and my first payment would not be due until April of 2012. I was even emailed what looked like a legally binding contract. I called the number on the contract and spoke with David Anderson at extention 139. I asked him again about the conditions and he stated the exact same thing as a contract. I did tell him that this was too good to be true and that I had a feeling this was a scam. He assured me over and over that it was not even stating that if this were a scam there would be no written contract. I was still leary but sent the money anyway. The very next morning I get a call from his so called boss Patrick Green at ext. 425 stating that after a second look at my credit they were requiring me to send an aditional $790 and that would push my first payment back 8 more months. The money I was sending was paying for the first 16 payments and would go directly towards the loan. I became very upset and told Mr. Green that I knew this was a scam and told him that I did not have and was not going to send anymore money. He tried to be very reassuring that this was all legal and I was guarateed to get the money if I sent it. He then told me the other option that I had was to get a refund of the original $790 and that they would even refund the $62 I paid to wire the money but it wouldnt be till Sept. 2nd that I would get my refund and it would be wired directly into my account info that I had given them to deposit the loan. Well I contacted Mr. Green a couple of times after that just to reassure me that I was still getting my refund. Well on Aug. 31st I tried contacting Mr. Green again and his extention was no longer working. The number still worked..just not his extention. Well suprise suprise...I did not get my money back and the phone number is no longer working. I know that I am never going to probably see that money again I just want people to be aware of this company and its scam. I hope they get caught one day and serve time in prison though Gods wrath is greater than anything that any of us can impose on them and know they will have to answer to Him one day.
