Since my credit isn't good, but I am in a position to make payments on a loan, I was looking for a company to loan me 6000.00 to consolidate my bills. I googled bad credit loans, filled out the info and Mr. Doug Alexander from Meridian National Trust called me to let me know I had been approved for the whole 6000.00. Of course based on my credit it wasn't approved by a bank but they had investors that were more interested in my means to pay back the loan and not my credit score. Since I had nothing to put a lein on, I was told I needed to secure the loan with 1080.00 but if I did not have that much they could do a hardship request. So, I called him back and told him I could only come up with 600.00. He told me they approved that and the money would come off of the back of my loan. It wasn't a charge for the loan. I questioned it and even told him I was scared of being scammed. But to have 6000.00 with 8% interest and paymts of around 260.00 for two years was too good to pass up. He even told me he could talk to me all day and assure me it wasn't a scam, that I needed to trust him. I should have went with my gut feeling when I was asked to wire the money to Spain. He told me they were International Investors. But, I didn't listen to my gut feeling. I wired the money, called him with the transaction number and was told it was received, He said he would push my paperwork through and since it was early the money would either be in my checking account by 5pm or the next morning. Well, the second call came the next morning. Mr Cohen called me to inform me the paperwork was with him now and the investors backing the loan ran my credit and they need another 850.00 to process the loan. I told him I was assured this loan was based on my means to pay it back and not my credit. He told me I had two choices. I could pay the extra and they would process the loan or close it and he would direct deposit my 650.00 back in my account early September. I told him I did not have another 850.00 and if I did I could have paid some loans off. I told him I wanted my money back. I also stated, I guess you will start drafting money out my checking account since you have my bank info. He told me they cannot do that. Do I trust him NO..... This all just makes me sick. I borrowed the 650.00 knowing I could pay it off when I got the loan and now I have another bill. I hope they like HELL because GOD DOES NOT LIKE UGLY. I hope the FBI or whatever agency handles fraud finds them and locks them away for a very long time. People work hard for their money. Life happens and even though we are good people we end up in tough situations looking for hope and a way to make it better. All I can say, if someone requires you to pay money to get money, RUN FAST and DONT LOOK BACK. Also, if it is too good to be true, it probably is... Also, has anyone had them access their checking accounts?
