I wanted to buy an item on Gumtree and I contacted the seller.

She replied providing her gmail address and mobile number but said she lives in a low signal area.

She said she works long hours and can't show me the item I wanted to buy (it was a bed) but she works for a big company and one of the benefits was sending items via parcelforce.

She said I can pay cash but then she said the shipping company uses Ukash and I have to buy 60.00 voucher.

I though that it is not right to pay upfront for something that I never saw and typed some info into google....and there it was ...the same scam...she is using the same e-mails but changes name and surname.

I have received an e-mail from a shipping company asking me to pay but I never did thanks to people posting their messages about the scam.

Nearly got caught with this same scam on Gumtree... Hada few email exchanges word for word as above... i new i smelt a rat... only confirmed it when i got sent a dodgy Ukash vouccher... very convincing indeed! Looks like the same person has been running this scam for months.... Just google the name and see for your self. I cant understand why gumtree do not ban that email.

lisa75morgan@gmail .com lisa morgan 07973425052 (Inappropriate Content Removed) nearly got me on 160 pounds on tool box. I was enough stupid to send to "parcelforce" that voucher but in moment when i press sent i realize what i have don. I google for it and straight away i was callig ukash to block that voucher the hardest was find any number to contact them isn't any on vouher and on their website weird why???? after i block that voucher that stupid (Inappropriate Content Removed) text me to make sure I check emails from parcelforce.Then I wish that COW good luck with cashig my vouher hahahaha lesson erned next time before I spend onlie more than 10 quid I google for it

Hello! Just wanted to say a very very big thank you to all of you! You made me save 110 pounds. Yesterday I found beautiful sofa on gumtree selling by VICTORIA PACKER email:[email protected] and everything looked good.
She replied providing an email address and said she lives in a low signal area. As she is working long hours she can't show me the bed, but offered a free delivery using parcelforce - apparently she works there, so free of charge. She said the driver can not take cash but they do take ukash, which I've never heard of. Went to shop, got ukash voucher and was told by cashier to be careful and not to show anyone the numer until i see my sofa, cause there is many scams. That comment made me suspicius as the seller told me to scan the voucher to release the parcel.
I checked the policy of parcelforce saying they don't use ukash vouchers! How interesting! Now I am left with 110 pounds voucher but more than sure without the sofa.
