Kathleen called me, said my company owed 686.30 for past due account. Said I had 2 years advertising with yellow pages public (one year plus one year free) since 2009. 599.00 would be accepted (original price before late charges were applied) if I paid that day with credit card. I told her that I didnt know what she was talking about,I was not going to pay someone over the phone who I didnt even get a bill from. She said she could cancel my account and send documentation in mail in 15-20 days. She told me she was from Arlington, TX and her number was 682-300-2403. She also recorded me on the phone with a "verifier" to cancel.

Howard Roberts calls says he is from US Public Yellow Pages and gave me www.uspublicyellow.com as his web site. Said he was a collector for the company and said I owed 686.30 but would accept 599.00 if paid credit card today. He claims they did send me invoices in the mail, but I told him I didnt not get anything. He said if I didnt not pay it he would turn my account over to a third party collection agency and it would ruin my credit. I asked him to verify when the ads were to start and he said 05/01/2012. Then he lets me listen to the recorded "cancellation" conversation I had with Kathleen, except parts of the conversation were omitted. I told him to fax me an invoice, I was not paying on the phone. He faxed me from 210-249-0540 and caller ID said Novatel. The cover page came through but thats all, kept getting a line error after that he tried 2-3 more times. The cover sheet has his name as Howard Roberts-Colletion Agent, ph#1-855-296-8133, fax 1-702-723-4642, Invoice # P05357802 and two more ph numbers listed at bottom are 1-855-296-8133 ext 414 and 518-689-0648.

Received a "statement" dated Oct 3rd, 2010 in mail from US Public Yellowpages, 701 North Green Valley Parkway, Suite 200, Henderson, Nevada 89074 saying they know how busy their customers are assuming that is why they have not received payment yet. Bill has Interest Charges every month (about 9.00 a month) since May 1st and also an Administration Fee for 40.00 dated for 10/01/2012. Signed by US Public Yellow Pages Advertising Solutions

They continue to call many times a day and from different numbers. I will not answer if I recognize the number and hang up on them if I do answer a call. They leave messages on machine saying they will turn me over to a thrid party collections, and I will owe them twice as much and ruin my credit.

I have filed complaints with the Nevada BBB, FTC and US postmaster for Fraudelant Business Practices. Im seeing a growing complaint list on the Nevada BBB website, so the word is getting out.
