I was on a dating website and a pop-up for a free trial of slimvida and colonflow was offered for a postage price of £2.95 each, which I paid for on my debit card!
When they arrived I saw to my dismay that they said if I didnt cancel within 14 days of placing the order then I would be charged for the product I had received at a cost of £69.99 each!!!
I tried the pills for a few days, then rang them up as I had gained 2pounds and had constant runs!
I said I wanted to cancel as it wasnt suiting me!
the woman told me to up the pills and ring back on the 22nd!
I told her I could not afford them, and I wanted to cancel!
She said no money would come out of my bank but to still ring back on the 22nd as if they had begun to work there were lots of deals they do!
I was in hospital on the 22nd, so did not call!
When I checked my bank account on the 25th there had been 2 amounts of £69.99 taken on the 24th!!
I called them to complain and was given 2 options, the first was to accept a 50 percent refund, which I would get back immediately, or wait for customer relations to listen to the call to see if the agent had promised no money would be taken!
After a lot of haggling the agent kept recommending I take the 50 percent because if the other agent had worded it cleverly and I had misunderstood, I would then be entitled to Nothing back at all!
I was really distraught, and really could not afford to lose that kind of money!
I accepted the 50 percent refund for fear of losing the lot!!
This is a disgusting way to scam people and they should be prosecuted!!!
