Here is a copy of the complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau and also the Attorney General about OrangeOffier.com

On September 27, 2012 I sent my used 32 gig iPhone 3GS to OrangeOffer.com for evaluation to see what they would offer me.
I considered the condition to be good and on their website OrangeOffer.com states that the value could be around $115 before they "carefully inspect and evaluate" the phone. I received an email telling me that they felt the condition was not worthy of the original $115 and offered me $66.40 for the device. Included in that email was the option to decline the offer or if no response was received they would mail out a check for their current assessed value within five days. I used the link on the email and declined the offer immediately on November 1st. I then received an email confirming that I had declined the offer and the device was going to be mailed back to me in 5-7 business days. I waited a week and my phone did not return.

Three days ago I received a check from eBlaze Services, Inc. for the amount of $66.40. The check was dated 10/2/2012 and signed by the president of eBlazes, Inc. Mr. Kenneth Haller. The exact amount of the offer I declined ten days earlier.
I immediately contacted OrangeOffer.com and had to still continue to try three additional times and still have not received a response. In the meantime I have looked up eBlaze Services, Inc. and have found multiple complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General Office of Illinois and obviously multiple complaints on
the web. eBlaze Services, Inc. operates three internet based phone buyback sites all with the same complaints like mine. After speaking to the Office of the Attorney Generals Office there might be an opportunity to press charges against Kenneth Haller, Esq. and the eBlazes Services, Inc. for selling of stolen goods across state lines which is a felony as well as claims of Internet Fraud and Larceny.

My eBlazes, Inc. check will remain un-deposited and used as evidence for possible further litigation. If anyone else has had these similar complaints against eBlazes, Inc. and it's subsidiaries
(www.orangeoffer.com, www.cashmycellphone.com, www.emobileman.com) please contact the Attorney General's Office for the State of Illinois (http://www.illinoisattorneygeneral.gov/consumers/index.html)
and also leave comments here so we have a record of other plaintiffs.
Consumer's Desired Resolution:
Return of the exact original iPhone device in the same documented condition as presented to eBlaze Services, Inc. The Serial Number and condition of the device were documented before shipping.

  • Seeking Resolution: I'm Looking for a Refund
  • Refund Amount: $ 115.00
