I had a withdraw from my checking account for $30.00 on 10/11/12. It was an off number check so i called my bank to find out what it was. They gave me the number to a place calle dPalm Loan Advances, which I have never heard of. Got the run around and was told it was an application fee. Never filled a app out for this place. I'm out the money and it's gonna overdraw my account. I'm so angry right now i can't see straight!!!

  • Your bank should not charge any overdraft fees for this incident because it was not your fault. Ask your bank about dispute resolution to get your money back. If the bank refuses, report the bank to the FDIC,800-934-3342, National Bank OCC, 800-613-6743, the Federal Trade Commission, 877-438-4338, National Fraud Information Center, 800-876-7060, the attorney general's office.

  • More suggestions...Go to your local bank and explain the situation and file a dispute. This is preferably done the day the transaction post to your account. After you file a dispute they should credit your account from the charges. Then close that account and open a new account and do not apply for any payday loans of any kind. Notify the BBB, the FTC, and the National Fraud Center as macechambers suggested. Also notify your local State Attorney General's Office and report the case to them. But after you close the access to your account like I did there may be another scam on the way. What I mean is there will be a company to call you to state they are the State Attorney's Office or another Law Office affiliation demanding money from you or you will go to jail. It is all a lie. My State Attorney General's Office stated they were very well aware of this situation and they were operating out of several different states. She stated for me never to talk to them and DO NOT send them any money. This Palm Loan Advances Company has two other operating names as well (that I know of) maybe more. The other known names are Vantage Funding and Loan Tree Advances. Good Luck.
