My husband and I needed a loan for 10,000 dollars, we have extremely bad credit so were overjoyed when this company called us and stated that we were approved. Credit Gain Financial said that since our credit was so bad we would need to put a down payment of $518 dollars through wire transfer to Lisa Howell in Ontario, Canada in order to receive the funds. After not receiving the funds the next day, we called them and they said that an additional $495 dollars was needed to complete the loan because their system was not completing it due to our bad credit. After not receiving the funds the next day after that, we called yet again and they said an additional $300 or so dollars was needed and THIS TIME we would definitely get the funds. We sent that money and still didn't receive anything and after many weeks of calling their phone number and trying to get ahold of them, we still have yet to receive our money back because they either changed their number or blocked our numbers so we can't reach them.

  • This company and this person commiting this fraud needs to be stopped. I too was a victim of Carlton Alferez. I reported this company to my local police department, the Canadian BBB, the American BBB, The Federal Trade Commission, The Royal Canadian Mounted Police and to Western Union's Fraud Department. I even reported them to the cell phone carrier that one of their phone numbers is with. Basically, anyone who would listen. Maybe if there is enough of us filing a complaint they will catch this person. In Canada, it is called "Advanced Fee Fraud". I know I will probably never get my money back but, if I let these people know I'm after them, it might make me feel better. Good luck!
