A charge for $36.23 showed-up on my credit card out of nowhere. I contacted SegPayEU at 866-450-4000 to discuss the charge. The person assisted me first asked for my credit card number, but I did not give it and asked if she could search by name. She did and asked to verify my email address .. the one she read out was not mine. I asked her what the charge was for and she referenced what sounded like a dating site (that after I searched for was not a valid site). She said that her system was telling her that the charge was fraudulent and that they would reverse the charge. We ended the call.
I did not trust that she would do anything as I am fairly sure that they are in on these scams so I contacted my bank and gave them all of the information that I had just received from SegPayEU. My bank is in the process of reversing the charge.
