I placed a deposit of $125.00 on 07/23/2012 to rent out the small hall for a wedding reception to be held Nov 10th 2012. After finding out the brides father will be losing his job and can not afford at wedding at this time, my future daughter-in-law call to cancel the reception hall on 08/29/2012. Giving Mr. Ed Pitstick a 2 months notice that the hall would no longer be needed for that date. Mr. Ed Pitstick refuses to return my deposit, knowing full well that a 2 months notice is sufficient time to allow him to rent the hall to someone else!! Mr. Ed Pitstick is not a good business man in my eyes, for keeping someones money for no services rendered!!! He is not out anything by refunding my money. He told me himself that no one usually rents out the hall in Nov. and no one else has requested the hall for that date. Given that information by him, tells me that he has no lost of business and is just a greedy man. I personally did not have a contract with him or a verbal agreement with him in regards to renting the hall. Also, just to inform you, the kids did go down to look at his small hall and said it was less than desirable establishment, given the wall paper is peeling off the walls. So be aware people, go to look over the establishment and don't give him any deposits down for anything without being 100% sure of what you may think you want. Just know in my opinion he is not a fair business man and has no regards for peoples situations. That alone speaks for itself of what type of person he is. Greed is mans worst enemy. I hope this helps someone else from making the same mistake. Just know what type of person your dealing with. Mr. Ed Pitstick shame on you and your greed!!! I don't know how people like you sleep at night knowing full well your taking advantage of less fortunate people and their hard earned money. This complaint could of been avoided, had you simply refunded my money. But you chose not to be reasonable, but just another selfish greedy person. Hope this makes your day, like you made mine. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau also. In hopes that other people see what type of person you really are. You have not heard the last from me yet.
