I had offer for a free electric toothbrush and just to pay p&p. However, the item has never been despatched, but the company has taken £45 out of my account on two occasions,23rd July and 22nd August. I have tried to contact the company online, but it always takes me to a page that says it is temporarily down or maybe moved. The odd time it did let me through,it said my password was incorrect. I have tried ringing, but nobody answers. Can you help?

  • i had the same, get free electric toothbrush just pay £1.00 to cover p+p, well no toothbrush, i had the vip subscription on pointshop, i got what was supposed to be a free sample of bellaclear skincare product, free my backside it cost me £5.00, in the end i couldn't use it as it made my skin come out in red blotches, so i sent it back in the original packaging to where it came from in the states, i got an email from the company in the states saying it hadn't recieved it. well two weeks ago £45.00 was taken out of my bank account, i went to pointpay website and filled in a ticket to unsubscribe.

  • i had the same problem, however if you phone your bank and ask them for a contact number for "pointpay" due to the fact they have taken unauthorised money from your account, they will put you through to their fraud department who will then give you a contact number for "pointpay". you will have to know the specific company that you accepted the offer from as "pointpay" apparently are a umbrella company for lots of smaller companies but its a long process. hope this helps.

  • cont. the bank said that it was impossible to check my account every day, because they had thousands of accounts. however, they did check on 22nd september, inline with the payments taken out on 22nd of july and august. nothing went out so the presumed it had been cancelled. however, the crafty (Inappropriate Content Removed) took the money out a few days later on 1st october. the bank said they will monitor it again, but they are refunding me that £45 as i had already seen them about it. they are going to reclaim it back off the company, which they say should put a stop to it once and for all. i just have to check my account in early november.

  • hi karen, do what i say in this message and you should be ok............. tap into your web browser..... pointpay.....when you find the web site which is easily found....click on " my/your subscription" scroll down to " i want to write to you" fill in the boxes they require but when you get to the explain your problem part write in that box " hi i have no idea why money has been taken out of my account but somehow i have signed up to some sort of service with you with you,i am now writing to tell you i wish to cancel this service, subscription and any other dealings with pointpay effective immediatley." i hope this helps, it will stop them taking any more money but unfortunatly you have to request some kind of form to fill in to get a refund, but they will just say that it was in the small print " that you have to cancel your subscription within 30 days or you will start paying £45 per month". once again i hope this helps.
