Complaint 143651 Details

I purchased 2 items from Outlet.com.sg on two occassion:

1. 9-Minute Marinator on June 20, 2012 (amounting to S$35)
- As the coupon valid is through August 6, 2012; I personally went down to the outlet office at boat quay to collect the item on 27 July 2012
- There was no sign of the company closing down as I can see that they are re-arranging their store rooms and had more stocks coming in.
- I was told by a young lady that my stock has not arrived yet and will only be in Singapore on 31 July 2012. I was told to leave my contact with them and she had taken down the contacts. I saw a list of contacts in her computer, thus assuming that this batch of item has not arrived.
- I was expecting them to call me by 31 July 2012 but did not receive any calls. I made several calls on 31 July but no one pick up the call. I was getting a bit worried.
- I continued to call them on the workweek of 1st August, but still no one pick up the calls.
- Finally, I make my trip to their office today on 7 August 2012 and saw the police and a group of people in front of their office. I found out that the company closed down.

2. 8 Closet Wonder Hangers (estimate cost S$18.90)
- Purchased the item via Outlet.com.sg on July 20, 2012 and the redemption is only after August 20, 2012

Hope that all the victims would be able to recover their money! Real bad experience for shopping online for first timer.
