This is an ongoing problem. A Parent Plus loan taken back in 2008 and now being billed by 2 loan servicing agents with in the Dept Of Education. Both Direct Loans and FedLoan Servicing are trying to collect on the same loan. I have spent 20 hours on the phone with the Dept of Education and both servicing agency's trying to clear this up. I have been given the runaround and at one point I was told that There are 2 loans although this was the only Fed Loan I have ever taken. I am now being told that I am past due and collection proceedings may be taken. I have no idea how to argue with a government agency, no idea what else I can do.
