I bought a leather sofa & loveseat +5 year’s guardsman protection plan for 968.99 on 4/18/2009 from the Jerome’s furniture store in the San Marcos area.
At the time the sales man told me that the furniture is leather as the sign was saying and as it is reflected in my invoice, and I should not be worry about the quality of furniture, I was uneasy about the quality, so he told me that we have a protection plan that will take care of anything happen to the furniture for 5 years and if they cannot fix it, they will replace it, I trust him and bought the furniture and the. Protection plan.
On 5/30/11 I report a damage to the protection company (one of the seat has lost its support, so when you set on it you would go down).They finally send someone to look at the sofa and after while they told me that this damage is not cover by your protection plane. I try to reason with them and explain the wording of their contract and the fact that the damage is cover in the plane and their finding is not correct and fair. They told me that I could fill another complain report, which I did on 7/6/11. On 7/20/11 received a one page form marked with (We are unable to service your request).
Not long after this problem we notice that the material around the coushin’s area, where your legs touches the sofa is cracking as it is plastic not leather.
I called them and also went to the store, they told me that the area that touches the body is leather and the rest is plastic. I told them how I am supposed to know that? After all You could not know that by looking and touching the material, at the time of purchasing it the sign was saying leather, my invoice indicating that I am buying leather sofa ,the sales man told me that it is a leather furniture, plus let say that everything that I am saying is incorrect, then how come the area that touches the legs is cracking too?
I have try everything, I had a email from the top manager that they are willing to give me 200.00 .

I am so tiered of this people ,they do not return my call and the only choice I have left is to take them to the small claim court.
