I was directed to trialpay.com in order to obtain television fanatic free of charge. You have to complete one of their online offers and you will be credited by getting a link to whatever you wanted to buy for free. I did as instructed and joined Mystery Guild Book club. The site stated that that particular credit would be credited instantly. I went back to the original site and it asked if I had completed the offer. I clicked on yes and it took me to a page that stated they had not received anything from trialpay and to refresh the page after 5 minutes. I did and still got the same message. The rest of the day and night I continued to "refresh" my page only to get the same message. The next day, (I had left that page open) I go to refresh the page and it disappears taking me to the home page. I contacted trialpay.com and explained that I had purchased the Mystery Guild membership and didn't receive credit. I get the automated standard of "we received you email and someone will respond within 24 hours". So a day later I get an email from trialpay that asks me to forward the introductory or welcome email I got from Mystery Guild along with account number. I do as instructed. Of course I get the automated email that they will respond within 24 hours. The next day I get yet another email from trialpay requesting proof of purchase. Same wording and all as the first one I got. I again send the welcome letter showing I did fulfill my obligation. Another automated msg of receipt. The next day I get it again...send proof along with account number. Again I resend the welcome letter with a note attached to the top saying that this is the 3rd time I have sent this. Automated response. Today I check email and here is the same email again from trialpay stating to send copy of welcome letter. grrrrrr I simply wrote them back and told them that It was apparently a scam and I would be reporting them on sites such as this so others won't get ripped off or fall into the same trap. Oh... and I also got an automated message of receipt for this one too.

  • Dear Susan,

I am sincerely sorry for any frustration caused with our checkout.

I would like to assure you that TrialPay is an honest company and not a scam. Based on your customer log, it appears that there were two separate threads regarding this offer completion which is why you may have received identical emails for your inquiries. I do apologize for this confusion, typically emails are consolidated to one account so customers like you receive efficient service and do not feel like they are getting the run around.  Please note that 99% of our partner offers are processed automatically through our system; unfortunately, in some cases we do require additional information to verify a customer’s offer completion attempt.  In your case, it appears the membership number was missing from the receipts previously submitted which prevented our team from issuing a manual credit.

As of July 27th 2012 I can confirm your Mystery Guild offer completion was successfully credited and you should have been emailed an activation code earlier today. Again I am sincerely sorry for this confusion, we have added your inquiry to our feedback report so that our support team can provide better service in the future.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Regards,

    Paola
