I was contacted by Great Expectation and made an appointment (July 11, 2010). Upon arrival the sales person asked for ID picture Id so I gave her my Drivers License with she said she would make a copy and give back to me. She then took several of us in to room and started what I think was a high pressure sales tack. I asked the sales person many times for my license back she said wait a minute. I asked her again for my license when this time she told me I could get my license when I signed some papers, "WHAT", I replied and asked nicely for my Drivers License and was told "NO". My Drivers License are type A they are hazmat with tanker and ... I knew that if I didn't get my license back that these things would happen (a) I would lose my job the next day, (b) I would have to go through a Federal Background check again, (c) take the cdl test again, (d) take the hazmat test again, (e) take the tanker test again and so on. See my drivers license are my life, they are very important to me and I wasn't leaving without them. I was forced to sign the contract just so I could leave and get my license back. I called later that day and told the lady on the phone what I wanted to cancel my contract, I wasn't interested and one hour ago I found out that I was still married, she put me on hold and then disconnected me, I called back and got an answering machine left a message for a call back, and explain that I had told the lady that put me on hold. Never got a call back. During the meeting I was told that I wouldn't become a member until I complete the profile and had pictures taken, (never happened I didn't go back, never made appointments for anything else). Thought this was over, nope, starting getting calls, and letters, they were calling my job, my co-wokers, my family, asked them to stop. This was January 2011 or so. Wrote letters telling them that I canceled this. Getting no response, Concrad Acceptance, and Conrad Credit put entries on my credit report, same amount different companies wrote about that no answer, thought fix credit later. Then in June 2012, I was at my moms house and I was serve paper from the Gwinnett Co Court that Im being suied for this. This company is no longer doing business, they are a scam, they said things that are not true, I have read many other complaints from different person and according to the websites Many states have banned them from the state the attorney general. I don't know if you can help me but I would like this complaint on file so that went I go to court I'm trying to do something against this company.
