At&t published the yellow pages directory for the Fox Cities in Wis with the wrong phone number for my business. I have had the same ad in this book for 20 years, nothing was to change.
After numerous unsuccessful calls to AT&T with no success or answers, ie; no call backs when promised, dropped tranfered calls, long holding times, they called me to renew my ad. The sales rep actually was helpful and put me in contact with a customer service rep. After he promised an answer within 3 days, I waited 3 weeks to hear what the sales rep had originally told me - they would refund my payments for the incorrect ad, and credit my account for the same ad in next years' book. There was never any attempt to get a message on the incorrect number to tell people the correct one, or any consideration for my lost sales due to their error. On top of this, the customer service rep was very rude! What a great company.
