I received an email from my sister and checked it out. after opening the link and paying to see what it was about. I then cancelled it. I was told that i would get my money back
and they would send a conformation to my email address. which never happened.
Instead they hacked my email and sent out messages to all my contacts. As though it came from me. Because i paid with a debit card my bank couldn't stop them from collecting these funds.

  • Most banks these days have fraud protection. If I were you, I would not let this go. Go back to the bank and tell them your story. At best, you are only liable for the first $50 and the bank will eat the rest. The link I received was from an email account my daughter had years ago and hasn't used it for years. Definitely a pyramid scam.
