First I received a text message that a voice mail was left at my home. Seconds later my cell phone rang from a California number. When I answered, a man with an Indian accent starts to tell me about a debt I owed but I had trouble understanding him so he switched me to his "supervisor". "Frank Wilson" (another Indian accent but slightly clearer) came on the phone stating that he was calling from the "State Attorney General's office" because there was a lawsuit filed against me by Cash Advance USA for a debt of $300 and he wanted to know what I intended to do about it. I asked him "What state?" to which he replied "huh?". I repeated my question and he said "California". I continued to tell him that I had no recollection of borrowing this money but that I would have to research it. I then asked could I have his number to call him back and he then became irate and starts yelling that "If he doesn't hear from me by 3pm today he would file the suit and press charges." I again asked him for his phone number and also asked him to lower his voice. He then starts yelling even louder and tells me that he would file the case right away and proceeded to hang up on me. Of course I look online and see scams either for "Cash Advance USA", "Advance Cash USA" and "USA Cash Advance".
