Two things:

1.) I booked 3 nights in a hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand with Agoda ( a hotel booking site owned by Priceline ). I accidentally clicked one person instead of two ( it is the same rate for 1 or 2 people per room ). I e-mailed Agoda ( no 1-800 line ) to ask them to correct it. They wanted to charge me $54 for a double occupancy rate.

2.) Agoda has a price match guarantee for the same room/same date/same conditions at another provider. I found a better rate at Hotels.com for the same deal and asked Agoda to match it. They told me to send it to another department so I did and no reply for 3 days.

They seem to be going through hoops to make things difficult. At this point, I would rather just cancel my two bookings with them and move on. If I can't, I would at least like them to correct the original booking for two people.

It is the Orchid deluxe kingsize bed with breakfast. ( 3 days )

Update: 06/23/2012

Hi, the actual extra amount they are charing is $29.40

  • Agoda sent me an e-mail stating they will honour their price match guarantee and refund my credit card the difference. I will look for it. They have not corrected/amended the occupancy error.
