Received a letter that stated my husband won the "Consumer Promotion Sweepstakes Drawing" for customers of Wal-Mart, Sears, ASDA, Walgreens, and Staples of the US and Britain. Enclosed was a check for $3,850.00 from the guaranteed total winnings of $50,000, from which he is to pay a Non-Resident Tax Clearance Fee of $1,920.00 to the Revenue Dept. Method of Payment: Western Union Money Transfer and to contact the Payment Handling Officers. The check is from Willowbend Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mesquite, TX and the bank is Bank of America in Walnut Creek, CA.

- I just got the same check and letter - notice the letter is from CITI Financial but the check is from Willowbend Nursing and Rehab Center in Mesquite, TX drawn on Bank of America in Walnut Creek, CA. Can not legit by any means!
