Sandra Ellawee wanted to purchase a freezer advertised on craigslist for $175.00. She said she was deaf and unable to pick it up directly, but would have someone pick it up. She was suppose to send the money via UPS, USPS, Fedex. It was different each time an email was received. She was going to add $20 for the way of paying. This emailing back and forth has been going on for over a month. Finally today, I received a "certified check" in the mail for $2500.00 from a David Kendall in Brooklyn, NY. It had a stamped signature of Sandra Ellawee and was issued from a place in Largo, MD called Multimax, Inc. I then became suspicious. Looking at the check, it didn't really look like a certified check and seemed to be printed on regular paper. I found another reference to Sandra Ellawee and Tammy Wiedman on scambook.com. Fortunately I found out about this scam before anything happened.
