They sent us some information about lowering our house payment. They contacted us the same day saying they could cut our payments in half and my Husband gave them our information. Luckily he was talking about it with a friend (that happened to be a real estate lawyer) and he told him that we needed to cancel that payment. Any time someone does work for you they get paid when the job is done not before. We caught it in time. We recieved a letter in the mail stating it was a collection agency, trying to make good on the payment. My Husbands lawyer friend said that if they report it then turn them in for fraud. Never pay first.
