RE: National Moving and storage – David Anderson(DAVID HARAMATI) is his real name....

On February 17th 2012, I requested a moving quote from this company. David Anderson was more than willing to “beat” any and all competitors’ bids. He went on to tell us that National Moving and Storage prides itself on hiring ex Military GI’s. This is something that is important to us as we have a great respect for the men and women who have served our country. He also went on to tell us that his bid was based on the weight of the truck once loaded. He quoted us .45 per LB. We had 2 houses that were being moved. Once that was established, we itemized our belonging and was told that based on our list, one house would be $1600 to move and the other would be $3000. At this time, we had made it clear that we would be paying for everything on a credit card. David Anderson agreed and assured us that it would not be a problem. So with that, we decided to move forward with this company.

On March 21st the movers showed up early and proceeded to load my belongings. You can imagine my surprise when a non-english speaking Hispanic and an extremely rude Israeli showed up. These were certainly NOT American’s nor were they Ex American Military…. Once everything was loaded onto the truck, we were told that the cost would be $4000 and we were also told that credit cards were not accepted. We went back and forth with Mr. Anderson and this Israeli for about 3-4 hours. The Israeli kept telling us to “trust him” that going by weight was going to far exceed the $4000 he was asking for. He got very argumentive and demand we pay in cash. Again, we explained that our agreement with David was that all would be paid via credit card. This back n forth on the phone went on for another 2 hours. I was beside myself and felt that my hands were tied as all of my belongings were already packed on the truck and not to mention that we were on a time schedule. We had also scheduled the second house to be picked up the next day March 22nd.

On March 22nd, the same two people showed up at the second house. This time, they arrived with what appeared to be 2 homeless people to help them pack up the second house…. Again, once all was packed into the truck, he demanded $6000 to be paid in cash for a total of $10,000…. WHAT!!??! We explained that was not the arrangement that was made with Mr. Anderson. The agreement was for a total of $4600 for both homes to be packed and delivered to our new home in Arizona. The Israeli argued that there was significantly more items in both homes than what was on his roster. We explained to him that we were very upfront and specific with David Anderson about exactly how many items were being moved. Again the argument continued back n forth about this and cash was demanded from us. We told him again about our arrangement with Mr. Anderson that ALL would be paid with a credit card and that we simply don’t have $10,000 in cash to give them. We Spoke with the supposed owner of the company who called himself “Benny”. We explained to him that his demand for cash was completely unjustified as our initial agreement with David Anderson was that all would be paid with a credit card. This argument continued and with all of our stuff already packed, we had absolutely no choice but to agree…. This arrangement was a “BAIT AND SWITCH” from the beginning. The price quoted was not honored and no American Gi’s were involved whatsoever. Our delivery date to our new home was set for the 4th of April. We made it clear to them that this was the expected delivery date. David Anderson acknowledged this and assured us that our belongings would be delivered and received on time. He went on to say that he himself would honor his quote for this move and assured us that we had nothing to worry about. Well…. This guy has already told us what we wanted to hear and has so far not delivered on what was promised in all aspects of our agreement. With all of the stress that came with dealing with this BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM, we failed to notice that the Israeli set the delivery date for the 5th of April. Again, we had made it absolutely clear that we were to move in to our new home on the 4th. What a nightmare….

April 4th 2012
We arrive to our new home in Arizona. When we tried to confirm a timeframe for delivery of our stuff, we got no response from David or the 800# that was on the invoice. No call back, no nothing…. On April 5th, I finally received a call from the moving company (National Moving and Storage). I explained to this person that we had a delivery date set for April 4th. I was told that he “didn’t want to hear my crap” and that “he would not be able to meet the agreed upon delivery date. “sorry, too bad” and hung up on me….We are now three days in an empty home. I finally heard back from David Anderson and he assured me that my belongings would be delivered Saturday April 7, 2012 in the early evening…. Today is Saturday, April 7…. I have been trying to contact David Anderson to confirm the delivery time with no luck. This experience has been horrifying and has put me through a great deal of stress. We (myself, my mother and my grandmother) have been sleeping on the floor in an empty house. My grandmother has special medical needs that are not being met because our things have yet to be delivered. I have made a total of 155 calls to David Anderson and not one has been picked up. I have sent him about as many txt messages with no response. I will be taking legal action against David Anderson and National Moving and Storage. FBI won’t help because it’s out of their jurisdiction and local PD says the same. Is this just cause for vigilante justice? Who do I turn to for help?

All I can say is, BUYER BEWARE!! National Moving and Storage is a BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM! and come to find out, David Anderson is an internet superstar. We are not the first people he and this company have taken advantage of. Read about David Anderson and National Moving and Storage at www.ripoffreport.com.
