OMG - Thanks to the previous posters for warning about this scam!!!!! I got the exact same email word for word from an Emily Shepherd wanting to sell her iPad 2. I thought it seemed a little strange that she was contacting me from Vancouver, but I saw that MyParcelDelivery.com has a legit looking web site & they are listed in wikipedia so I tried to send the money this evening. I went to my local Publix & they would not allow me to send the funds to a business and an individual's name and it seemed weird that the seller is in Vancouver, but they wanted the money to go to the UK Attn: Justin Potton. So, thank god I kept my money and decided to look into it a little further. Unreal - I hope somebody catches these scum bags!!! I feel badly for the people that actually lost money. It had to have been from an ad I responded to off of Craigslist. Your site rocks and I'm adding it to my favorites!! Thank you- :)

  • Hi everyone,

I would like to advise that myParcelDelivery.com is in no way connected to the fraudulent websites and agents stating that they represent, or work with or for us.

myParcelDelivery.com is a UK based courier comparison site and we do NOT sell ANY physical products or work with agents selling or arranging shipments of such products through our courier services.
As soon as we have become aware of any of these sites, we have immediately contacted the company hosting the site and provided evidence asking them to remove the site immediately.

Although, our approaches to the companies hosting these sites are successful, it is very easy for the people behind the fraudulent websites to open under a new domain name. We rely on vigilant people to let us know what this happens and we can then take action.

We do NOT accept payment through Western Union to a person - all payments on our genuine site are made either by trusted debit / credit card methods or paypal.

  • Hi, I'm the CEO of myparceldelivery.com - a legitimate and well known parcel delivery site in the UK.
Recently, some people have been running a scam via Gumtree and craigslist - creating websites such as:
    http://www.vanc-myparceldelivery.net/en_language.internet.transactions/index.html
    http:// us-myparceldelivery.net
(and a number of other extensions)
With the intention of defrauding customers by pretending to sell iPads and requiring payment via Western Union.
Our company - myParcelDelivery.com - is in NO WAY related to these scam websites with various prefixes.
MyParcelDelivery.com is a UK based courier comparison site and we do not sell ANY physical products or work with agents selling or arranging shipments of such products through our courier services. As a further note, we do NOT accept any form of payment through Western Union to a specific person. All payments on our website are through Paypal or recognized Credit / Debit cards.
As soon as we have become aware of any such sites adverting through Craiglist, Gumtree or other such sites, we have immediately contacted the company hosting the fraudulent site and provided evidence to prove that people are illegally exploiting our branding and content and asked them to remove the offending website. To date, we have closed over 10 of these domains.

We want to protect consumers from these scammers who are defrauding people and also tarnishing our good name by creating these fake sites. If anyone comes across any further sites of this nature, please contact us via http://www.myparceldelivery.com/contactus.aspx and we will put all our efforts into shutting down these fraudulent sites.

    Regards,

    Paul Haydock
    CEO, myParcelDelivery.com
