I enquired about a payday loan when I filled out an application online. I did not apply with this company directly, but i did apply with quite a few so I dont know how this company got my information. they contacted me and said they could give me a loan up to $5000. They told me that I needed to pay $170 via greendot paypal card in order to get the amount I needed. When i called in this card amount to pay the $170, I was informed that they forgot to mention that I needed to pay insurance of $170, so I payed that amount. After each payment was made, I was given the representative's 'Word" and "There's no need to worry," and there was nothing else that I needed to pay in order to get my loan. they even told me that they would give me an additional $300 to make up for their mistake of not informing me of this additional $170. Aftet his, I was informed that I had to pay an additional $149 for Viginia taxes. I was already $340 deep into this, so I figured that paying this last amount would get me my loan and again was given the rep's word that there would be no other money i would have to give them in order to get my loan. My loan amount was for originally for $1000 and I was told all of the money i gave to them would be placed together and the new loan amount was going to be for $1600, and I would only have to pay interest on the original loan amount of $1000. I was told that within 30 to 45 minutes, my $1600 would be placed into my checking account. I kept checking my account online to see if it had been placed into my checking. It hadn't. I called an hour and a half later to find out what was going on, I was informed that I need to pay an additional $400 to bring it up to $2000 in order for the loan to be transferred into mt checking. At that point, I told them, I no longer wish to do business with them and I wanted my application closed and I wanted my money refunded to me. I was given other options to complete the loan, and at this point I was gettting very angry. I just wanted my money back. I finally got to what he called himself the "Sr. Supervisor for accounts." He told me he was placing me on hold for about 15 minutes while he puts my refund into my checking. I was hung up on. Today is 3/30/20112 and I have called everyday and speak to this "Sr. Supervisor" named "Peter" and he keeps telling me the same story that I needed to be placed on hold for a few minutes while he transferred my refund. Everytime, I was eventually hung up on. Yesterday, 3/29, I was told by this "Peter" that i had to pay an additional $179 for another insurance because my money that I had given them was locked in their account or something before I could recieve my refund. I am not going to pay anything in order to get my refund. I asked to speak to his boss and a woman got on the phone who claimed that she was the "accounts manager"and when I started to explain my situation to her, she hung up on me. They have my home and cell numbers in their system, so as not to answer it when I call, so i have found a way to trick them so I can get an "operator or customer service rep." this company is now refusing to pay back my refund and I want the entire world to know how this company is a scam and do not deal with them.
Side note: I am in no way predjudice, but every "customer service rep" that answers the phone speaks with an Indian accent,(Indian, like from India), but every one of them has an American name-real names I have been given: Peter, Andrew, Robert, Steve, and Jasmine. There is definately something fishy with that part as well. they have 4 different street addresses in Seattle, WA; 24 NE Ave., 3 NE Ave.,2597 NE Ave., and 25 NE Ave., all in Seattle with the same zip code 98101,which is also shady. their phone number is 206-201-2243. I have filed a police report, spoken to the District Attorney in Seattle, and too bad for the company, it will cost thousands in their own attorney fees, time in court, plus, the D.A. assured me I will reciece my refund back, so they think they have gotten over on me but they are really hurting themselves 100 fold. If anyone else has dealt with this company and has the experience I have had or any experience with Payday Loan U S A, please contact me.
