I received a Groupon for this site for Christmas, and my partner [who purchased the Groupon] told me that they had a Batman pose/body, which is relevant to my interests and the reason why she bought it for me. As I looked at the site on Christmas day, I couldn't find the Batman figure anywhere, so I contacted the site. The next day, they told me that they took that figure off the market, but for an extra fee, I could create "anything I wanted" with my own figure. I chose another stock Batman pose and the desired face and submitted my order that day [December 26], paying $60 on top of the $60 Groupon for it.

A month and a half later, my order was still in "accepted order" status with no updates, so I contacted the site again. I was told that the artists were all on a three-week vacation, which is something that would have been extremely helpful to note on their website or Facebook page [which has mysteriously disappeared since]. A couple of weeks after that, I received a message telling me that my body pose would not work, but they were hesitant to give me a reason or another option. After a few other poses were rejected [all within the span of two days, amazing how fast they work when they feel like it], they suggested using the Batman pose that we wanted to use in the first place and were told we couldn't! They refunded $30 of the order [although it cost $60 less, I don't even care at this point] and fell silent again.

It has now been more than three months and my order is still in "accepted order" status. I have never received any updates, photos, or a chance to edit their work. I am not convinced that they have actually done any work anyway.

I am writing this while I am on "hold" with the company.. sort of. Since they decided to delete their Facebook page [which was being used as a sounding board for many unhappy customers such as myself], they decided to utilize their "live chat" feature on their website. In the three months since placing the order, I have never seen anyone manning this thing. I guess I understand why, since I have been staring at the message "All agents are currently helping others and you are next in the queue. The estimated wait will be 1 minute(s). " for half an hour now. There is no number to call and the only other way to contact someone in the site is through the email contact form, which will prompt a response from what seems to be only one person since she is the only person that has corresponded with me, despite requests to speak with someone further up the chain.

This sounded like such a great idea and I am so sorely disappointed. I have contacted Groupon and told them my story, so they hopefully do not run a deal with this company ever again and disappoint even more people.
