I recently moved back to Florida, I had relocated to another state 7 years ago.
I just called FP&L to request electric service and was told that I had an outstanding bill in the amount of $115.63 from 7 years ago! This is so false. I paid my final bill, I was sent my last bill and then a final bill. I purchased a home and there was nothing on my credit report. I also monitor my credit every year and there has never been anything from a past due bill from FP&L. I have heard so many horror stories from consumers about this company. Why do they have a monopoly on this industry?
We as consumers should have the right to choose from another electric provider!
