I received a cashier's check in the mail telling me to deposit this $1306.29. I was to use $920.00 to send through Western Union (as my first assisgnment) and $86.00 was for the Western Union service fee. Then I was to take out $100.00 to go shopping at one of 6 stores, (Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Macy's, JC Penny's, Sears, or K-Mart) to evaluate the customer service experience and whatever I bought I was to keep. Then the remaining $200.29 was my 1st weeks pay for my 2 assignments. While the cashier's check was pending, I used my own money to complete the Western Union Evaluation and the shopping one as well. So, I took out $1,106.00 of my own money thinking the cashier's check would go through anyday. Well, instead I got it returned to me from the bank. So, I am now out $1,106.00 and the worst part of it is that I was laid-off while I was 3 months pregnant and am now trying so hard to find a job so my husband, baby, and I are strapped as it is. This only made things worse. I have certainly learned my lesson.
