I e-mailed [email protected] expressing my interest in her two Yorkshire puppies and I received this e-mail:


Hi ,
Sorry for my late reply , I am so impressed with your inquiry about adopting my puppies. i have been looking for a home for them for a while now but not only a home but a forever home for them.. firstly let me tell you about them.They are both 12weeks old .They are called Tina and Dino. they are all registered with the following animal registration club that is Akc and are veterinary checked and vaccinated and have all health records till date and housing documents . I am not out to sell them,all i want is to give them out to a home or family that is able to spoil them with the love and care that they deserve,so all i need of you is to assure me you will take good care of them because i don't want to give you my puppies out and discover they are not handled with care. I work as a veterinarian and i will be traveling for an international Veterinarian Research next week , so they will be no body that will be taking care of the puppies while i travel , so i decided to give them out for adoption only to good and loving homes . So you just need to assure me you will take good care of my puppies. below are some of their descriptions .
About The Female:
-She is house Trained and Potty.
-She does not bark a lot.
-She eat 2 times daily and at afternoons she drinks Milk .
-She Is socialized with kids and other house hold pets .
-She is a portable baby.
-She gets angry when you shout at her, so don't do that.

About The Male :
-He is house and potty Trained.
-He eats 2 times a day and drinks milk at noon.
-He likes to keep him self away from the crowd but is also socialized.
-He's also a portable baby.
-He barks when he sees strangers.

We were located here in the US in (Indiana) .so if you can stand the chance of taking these puppies , you are going to pay is just the transportation fee of the puppies and that will cost you $180 for one and $360 for both. So please get back to me asap so that we can immediately proceed with the delivery arrangement of the puppies to you.

It seemed unusual to me that she was so willing to give her puppies away when she could have had a family member look out for them or even paid a kennel to take care of them if she was just going away temporarily for work. Being a "Vet" she should be able to afford so. Her writing skills also didn't seem like those of a professional so we decided to look up her e-mail address and it didn't take us long enough to find several fraud reports to that e-mail address. Luckily we found out about this scam before losing any money. And just to catch her in her lie I wrote an e-mail where I told her that I had a friend flying to her state who would be more than happy to pick up the puppies personally so that she didn't have to "ship" the puppies (and therefore we didn't have to wire any money). She didn't respond of course.
Coincidently I found a similar ad under a different e-mail address using the same exact wording she/he used as [email protected]. So she/he is trying to scam others under a different e-mail address and name. In the first e-mail I contacted her in she said the puppies names were Tina and Dino, and in the second different e-mail address their names are Scotty and Lil Kim. So watch out for them.
