On January 28, 2012 I went to an advertising seminar on selling the lowest prices for vacations, cruises etc. My husband and I listed to the presentation that Bill gave at the Ashton Inn in Pensacola, FL. We talked about this since we have had timeshare for over 30 years and what was presented to us sounds like something we would use because of the lowest guaranteed prices on cruises and vacations packages. After we told them that we would try the membership out for 1 year our sales person told us that we would receive a phone call from Jody in the next 24 hours on our thoughts of the package. I ask him to hol dmy post dated check until February 2 when we get paid. That was a mistake that I shuld have not made. They cashed the check on Monday the 30th. After calling several places I got a phone for Jody at the Ashton Inn in Pensacola where we attended the seminar. I explained to her about the check and she did apologize but was not aware of the post dated check. I ask her at that time when we would receive out package and membership card and she stated in the next week. I asked her about the prices for a cruise for our other family members and she stated that it would be expensive if I used the prices under our free cruise package, so I ask her how much did she think it would cost and she said around $450.00 per person and she could beat that prices throught our membership, so meanwhile I called the Blue Lagoon which is who has out membership and was trying to get prices for a cruise for our family and I spoke with Linda and she could not give me a price on a cruise to Alaksa. I ask her about a price to Caribbean and she gave me a price of $1848.62 for 2 people. I ask her if this was the prices about a discount that we get from Royal Caribbean because we are platinum member and a discount of $250.00, she stated yes. I called Jody and told her that I thought My Vacation Connections was a scam and I wanted a refund. She told me that the only person that could give me a refund would be Armulfo. I have left eamils and voice messages for him. I talked with Armulfo and he told me on Tuesday the 21st. that I needed to email him the prices that I got and he would look inthis and see why they cannot get a lower prices since they guarantee that. I have left him an email and told him I wanted this resolved by today the 24th. He called while I was at lunch and I left another voice mail and still nothing. I feel that My Vacation Connections is a scam and I do not want others to be scammed by this. I am also going to make a complaint againt the Ashton Inn at 4 New Warrington Road in Pensacola, FL. I have also called them and left messages for someone from My Vacation Connectios to call me and still nothing. I want my refund of $750.00 and I also want everyone to know do not do this. On Monday the 24th Jody told me on that I was past the 3 day cancellation day. That was the first I heard about a cancellation day. They did not tell us that at the seminar. If they would have I would have looked into them more and they I would have cancelled before the 3 days. We have also sent in money for the FREE Cruise and Airfare in the amount of $175.00 which is through another company. They call this the refundable deposit. Consumer's Desired Resolution:
I want my refund back and I also want everyone to know about My Vacation Connections in Dallas, TX and Orlando, FL. And we are still waiting for our FREE cruise coupon and flight coupon and the $175.00 refundable deposit to come in the mail.
