On May 10, after purchasing UpdateMyDrivers, I downloaded the program, ran it and tried installing the drivers I downloaded from the system. The drivers locked my computer and caused critical system root files to become corrupted. I had to take my computer to a computer repair shop where my computer's hard drive was wiped and the operating system re-installed. The damage UpdateMyDrivers caused cost me $109.95 to repair.

During the re-installation of my operating system, UpdateMyDrivers program was removed.

I contacted the company on May 13 requesting that the monthly subscription be cancelled and that I receive a refund.

When I tried to contact the company to get a refund, I was told that the ONLY way to get a refund was to request it using the activation key or some other information contained in the UpdateMyDrivers program. I could not do this since the program had already been removed from my computer.

I tried contacting the company by e-mail and by phone, but got an automated response that the only way I could contact the company was through the program that had already been removed from my computer. I felt the only option I had was to contact my credit card company and request the charge be cancelled.

In the meantime, I received another message from the company on May 26, telling me that I would be charged another $9.95 for an automatic renewal of UpdateMyDrivers. I received this notice even after I was told in an email from the company that the automatic renewal had been disabled.
