I purchased DVD's of Highlander the series, the web site said Complete Box Set NEW. Three weeks later the DVDs arrived post marked China, in plastic sleeves, stacked in video cases, and numbered by hand.
The dvd's were very badly scratched, kept pixilating and some would not play at all. I sent an email to herenowdvds Customer Support on July 22'11, I received an email back on July 23, saying, "Please keep in mind an Official DVD Collection has never been released for this series and what you received was a Collectors/Fan Version", the email went on to ask me to try the dvd's in another dvd player, on the computer, or even an xBox. After trying the discs on 3 computers and 2 DVD players (I don't have X-Box) I sent another email stating that since some of the discs played fine I felt that quality was an issue not the players. On July 24, they promised to replace the defective DVDs once I had identified them. Quote " It will be no problem at all to replace the disks that are defective or faulty." Due to ongoing medical issues and a death in the family I was not able to go through all the DVDs until Feb 2012. I identified 19 of 55 DVDs with issues/non-playable. Three emails have been sent by me since that date and I am still awaiting a response from "customer service". They DO NOT TELL THE TRUTH. I would like as many people as possible to be made aware of this company's name so other people will not get caught up in this obvious fraudulent company. At this point I feel that they have probably changed their name to avoid getting caught and having to make good on their promises.
