There is a recruiting company, in my case represented by Paige Brooks, www.careersagency.co.uk with no address offering a part time job as a foreign exchange trader for company Kanji FX. They say you can earn from £1200 up to £8000 by doing money transfers.
We've never met in person, everything over email. I've signed contract, sent them copy of my passport for verification purposes, as they say, and I should start working after my regional manager Yoshio Ichikawa will contact me. He did eventually asked for my bank account details so they can send me my wages in future which I provided (BA number and source code, nothing else) They present them selves as the biggest Forex trade company in the world, but there's no information about them, no reviews, they're not in the list of forex traders in Japan, no nothing, the same about the recruiting company. Anything you are trying to google doesn't lead anywhere...Does anybody have any experience????

  • Hi Luigi,

I was contacted as well, and since I've been looking for work in the UK, I naturally assumed that it was from one of the many job agencies that I've contacted earlier.

After a few emails, I started to become slightly suspicious, and found your post.

I can't positively say that this is a scam. However, it seems extremely likely when you look at the email path: It is sent through an IP that is blacklisted

Tracing the email address ([email protected]), shows that it is located in the US, not UK.

Check your email headers and search through some of the info, and I'm sure you'll find the same info I did.

My recommendation is to stay away. It is probably just a new version of a Nigeria letter and I'm, quite frankly, repulsed by Internet scammers. Their lives and purpose is a complete waste of space.

Good luck and let us know if there are any updates on this.

  • Complain poster hadn't provded any actual details showing any illegal or suspicious activity on and around mentioned position. What happened after you provided the details?

The IP check could also mean nothing - many companies uses hosting for their mail and websites outside the United Kingdom and that's normal i guess.

Marcus, could you please at least provide those headers cause I'm not sure you are looking into right case.

  • Hello,

It is almost the same for me, the name is Sarah Weston, asking for info for verification.
There is a real website address: http://www.careersagency.co.uk. but I am still suspicious - the site is strange, offering info but no candidate registry or job search.
And also found this in the header:
    Return-Path: <[email protected]>
Do you think it can be true?
