We had a new leasing agent who received a call and then a fax to update our listing in the "Yellow Pages" as they stated. She thought that we had a listing in the Yellow Pages and verified the information that they had on the fax copy and faxed it back. When low and behold we received an invoice for $1,188 shortly after this. I called and told the girl (who could not speak good English that the leasing agent did not have authority to sign any contracts. She told me too bad and hung up) I have received more invoices and we will not be paying them. Now the amount is $1,238 because they keep adding late payments. I have turned my complaint over to the Attorney General in Connecticut and hopefully something can be done to stop this scam. Do not agree to any Yellow Page calls at all. You will know when it is legite.
