They called and offered my a promotion package for $49.90 for 2 monthly charges to get 5 magazines of my choice for 12 months. I signed up. They have now charged me 4 times and said that they told me it was $49.90 a month for 12 months...Why would I pay $10.00 a magazine times 5 magazines a month? Hello! They said that I was recorded and when I asked to hear the recording I was put on hold for over 30 minutes and had to hang up becasue I am at work. They were able to get a charge to go through again on the 13th - thank you overdraft protection :(. They called today and I told them that when they can let me hear my orginal coversation I would settle and that i was recording the conversation - which I was! She said that it was illegal and I said no it's not becasue I have informed you that I am recording you and she said that she was refusing to let me record her and that she would put it down in the notes as refusal to pay and the collection would escalate. I said - no - I am trying to work this out and she hung up on me. I cancelled the credit card it was on and am going to dispute the amounts charges with them. ALSO - on another call, I mentioned that I had not even gotten 1 magazine that I ordered and I had gotten eveything under the sun BUT those I requested and I was informed that it takes 8-12 weeks to begin getting your subsrcitions and that those were bonus magazines but that my cancellation window was only 3 days...YES 3 days from the original order date! WHAT?
