I purchased a product for 5.95 and paid this, 1 month later my credit card was debited with an unauthorised transacion of 54.95. Apparently, the terms and conditions state that if you don't return the product, a monthly membership fee will be charged unless you cancel this. I spoke to my credit card company who stated that by accepting the companies terms and conditions, I agreed to them taking the extra fee and a monthly membership unless this is cancelled. A difficult situation whereby the buyer has to be very, very careful to fully read ALL the terms and conditions thoroughly. False advertising? I don't know the law.
