- Hi Kev,you wait till 14 days after the withdrawal of money and then write a letter(recorded delivery) to the disputes dept., of your bank, stating the withdrawal was unauthorised.Change your bank account IMMEDIATELY,i.e.new account number(same bank tell them the reason),because you will be hit again. My friend has been hit twice. If you really want to waste your time try 0844 7042856,that;s a number given to me by Halifax Bank,a number provided by Your-money.tv'dedicated' to sort problems out.Never has the word 'dedicated'been so inappropriately used. It's just a fob to the bank.
