I received the same email......"out of 25 apllicants you have been chosen"....Yeah yeah yeah!! It sounded to good to be true but you know when your out of work anything seems like a glimer of hope. How low of scum do you have to be to pray on desperate unemployed people???? This one got me. I signed up for my credit score to, thank GOD I didnt send them any personal info, and I just spent 2 hours on the phone with my bank because the "FREE" credit score cost $29.95!!! Making my account to go under and my rent check to bounce.
My fiance asked the owner of his company about these employers requesting credit checks and she advised that if the compay is legit then they will do that at the time of interview.NOT via email before even meeting you.
I guess I will have to mark this one up as a lesson learned. Oh and I will flag the posting on CL to hopefully stop somebody else from the heartache and headache
I guess i will never learn.....if it sounds to good to be true...IT IS!!!
